SPARTANBURG, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Spartanburg Police Department said a daycare employee is facing criminal charges after parents came forward with allegations of abuse.

FOX Carolina brought you the First Alert on this story in August when now ex-employees at Maranatha Childcare said they caught an incident on camera. On Monday, FOX Carolina’s Ashley Listrom reported that two parents filed lawsuits.

According to the lawsuits, a toddler suffered an injury, causing a “chunk of hair” to be ripped from her head. The second lawsuit says another toddler was physically abused.

Spartanburg Police Department began investigating the allegations in August. Officers said they determined Cedric Ann Henderson “inflicted ill treatment and unnecessary pain and suffering to a minor child.”
