A handgun built from a 3-D printer was found in a vehicle at Concord High School on Thursday afternoon, according to police.

Police said they responded around 12:15 p.m. Thursday for a report of a possible firearm in a vehicle parked at the school.

Officers found and secured the gun, police said.

In a letter to the school community, Concord High School Principal Kris Gallo said the vehicle was parked on the edge of school property, and that the owner of the vehicle was identified and is cooperating with police.

Gallo added that having a weapon on school property “is illegal and has significant consequences.”

Police said there is no danger to the public or the high school in connection with the discovery of the gun.
