BLAIR COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) -- A dog that was injured after being abandoned at the Central PA Humane Society has officially found her forever home.
Cherry was originally abandoned at the Humane Society in March after being dropped over the facility's fence. She was outside without any food or water until a vet found her the following morning, and ultimately needed hip surgery after the incident.
In April, Cherry found a foster home. The Humane Society said that she was sent to her new foster home with lots of treats and toys and that she would be recovering from her hip surgery with her new foster mom.
Now, Cherry has been officially adopted. According to the Humane Society, Cherry recovered from her surgery and gained some much-needed weight in the process, and is now off to her forever h
