ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – The Lackawanna Trail is scheduled to be closed for the first week of October to accommodate a paving project, as announced by the City of Elmira Department of Public Services.

In a release, the city announced that the Lackawanna Trail will be closed from Monday, Oct. 6, to Friday, Oct. 10, while crews work to pave the roadway.

For the duration of the week, the city stated that the trail will be closed from the Water Street Bridge to the Judson Street Bridge while the work is taking place.
