Average house prices across Waterloo Region saw a slight monthly increase in September amid slower sales.

New data from the Cornerstone Association of Realtors shows the average price for all residential properties sold in the region in September was $753,162, an increase of 3.2 per cent compared to August.

Average prices across most categories are still lower than they were at this time last year; the September average for all categories was 4.7 per cent lower year-over-year.

The average price for a detached home was $858,872 last month, an increase of 1.4 per cent compared to August, and a decrease of 5.9 per cent compared to September 2024.

Semis sold for an average of $621,026, up 0.5 per cent over August but down 5.1 per cent year-over-year.
