PORTER COUNTY — Multiple fire departments responded Friday afternoon to a two-vehicle crash in rural Porter County that trapped multiple people inside. A male driver was airlifted to a trauma center at the University of Chicago in an unknown condition, and a female driver in another car was transported to a nearby hospital. Her condition is also unknown.

Firefighters and paramedics from the South Haven Fire Department initially responded to the crash in the 600 block of State Road 149 at approximately 12:30 p.m., the department said in a social media post.
