Glendale Mayor Jerry P. Weiers, the Mayor’s Military Mission, and the Sandy Coor VFW Post No. 1433 will collaborate on a continuation of Weiers' national flag flying tour.

In anticipation of the 250th birthday of the United States on July 4, 2026, Weiers will personally complete flying a locally made American Flag at all 50 state capitols, at the Arizona state capitol at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct, 25 at 10.

To this point, Weiers has flown the flag in 49 states and Arizona is the final stop. The Arizona State Capitol is at 1700 W. Washington St., Phoenix.
