LOUDON COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Tennessee Department of Transportation said bridge repairs on I-40 are expected to cause delays this weekend.

According to TDOT, I-40 will be down to one lane in each direction at mile marker 363 starting at 7 p.m. on Friday to allow for repairs to the bridge that spans over Paw Paw Plains Road. This will be taking place about one mile away from Exit 364, the Lenoir City and US 321 exit.

The lane closures will be in place until no later than 6 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 6, TDOT said.

This is the second weekend of bridge repair work that requires lane closures. The third and final weekend will begin on Friday, Oct. 17.

Drivers should expect delays and use extreme caution in the area as workers will be present, according to TDOT.
