As of Oct. 3, none of the social services offered by the city or the Glendale Elementary School District at the GESD System of Care Center, 7677 W. Bethany Home Road.

The Glendale Community Services department opened in August 2024 on the GESD campus.

It offers mental health, social, educational. health, substance abuse, vocational, recreational and juvenile justice services.

“No program operations are affected by the shutdown right now or anticipated in the next two to three weeks. If the shutdown extends to December or later there would be challenges to some of our leslprogram funding,” stated Glendale Community Services deputy director Matt Hess in an email.
