EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) -- A fundraising effort for Officer Sam Taylor was held by the Evansville Vanderburgh Central Dispatch.

For a $10 donation people could choose from a hamburger, cheeseburger, or hotdog with chips, drinks, and desserts all a part of supporting an Evansville police officer shot in the line of duty.

"It is overwhelming first off to be in that position, but we've been trying to do best,” Evansville CPO Officer Terrance Eastwood said. “We can to keep all of their spirits up, which is probably something that's gonna be impossible, but they been really really satisfied and I'm happy with the way that we showed up to support them so they seem to be in really good spirit as of now I was just gonna keep pushing"
