Jackie Calmes’ column on Sept. 28 blasted Trump for his remarks at Charlie Kirk’s funeral about hating his enemies. Then she says the audience applauded. She needs to go back and listen. Some might have applauded, but we did not hear it and we doubled-checked. We heard laughter at Trump’s self-deprecating, not surprising, Trumpian admission that he was not like Charlie, but probably should be.
