PHOENIX — A Mexican restaurant in Phoenix was destroyed after a fire tore through it in the middle of the night. Now, its owner and his employees are out of work trying to get back on their feet.

It happened early Saturday morning at La Santisima near 16th Street and Indian School Road. Felipe Guzman, the owner, woke up to a call from the fire department.

“It's destroyed, you know, it's like, destroy your dreams, destroy everything. And at that moment, we were like, what's gonna happen?” Guzman said. "My heart, it's so emotional. Two days, I could not even sleep. I was in shock.”

Since Saturday, it's been a rollercoaster of emotions. Guzman has been reflecting back on how his taco shop started back in 2010 in a smaller location down the street. It was first called La Condesa.
