MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - An 18-year-old was hurt after a large fight led to a single shot being fired in downtown Madison Friday night, according to the Madison Police Department.

A large fight broke out in the 200 block of Langdon Street around 11:15 p.m. Friday night, according to MPD. During this fight, one shot was fired.

Multiple suspects ran right after, with UWPD and MPD taking at 18-year-old suspect into custody near where the incident happened.

An 18-year-old was taken to the hospital, treated and released. MPD did not share if the victim was shot or injured during the fight.

The UW-Madison Police Department issued a shelter in place for the 100 and 200 block of Langdon Street 11:30 p.m. Friday during the incident.
