MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A 24-year-old man was arrested after Madison police say he pulled out a gun and threatened to fight people on Friday night.
According to Madison police, officers responded to a tavern in the 400 block of N. Frances St. around 10 p.m.
Officers took the man into custody outside of the bar and recovered a loaded handgun from him, according to police.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect became angry when he was asked to show ID before entering the bar, police said.
Police said bar staff members told the suspect that he needed to leave and he responded by threatening to fight people and kill staff.
The suspect then took out a firearm and was later seen pointing it at the tavern from an adjacent sidewalk, according to police.
