Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch has called on the government to take a stronger line on antisemitism saying 'we cannot tackle this with nice words'.

Ms Badenoch made her comments as she and Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham visited Heaton Park synagogue, the scene of Thursday's deadly terror attack . After speaking to senior GMP officers and rank-and-file police, she told reporters: "We cannot tackle this with nice words and asking everybody to come together. It's nice to say those things but words are not enough, we need action."
