FRAMINGHAM, Mass. —
A Framingham man was arrested Saturday for allegedly trying to rob Dubom Supermarket at knifepoint earlier in the week.
Framingham police say a 42-year-old man, whom they did not identify, is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, attempt to commit a crime, and assault and battery.
Authorities say on Oct. 1, the man entered the Dubom Supermarket on Worcester Road and threatened the clerk with a large kitchen knife.
Surveillance video captured the terrifying moments on camera.
"Whenever he grabbed my hand, I told him to let go of me, and I saw the knife and it was over the counter," the clerk said.
The man fled from the store and disposed of his hat in a dumpster nearby.
The man will be arraigned in Framingham District Court on Monday.
