An Edinburgh e-scooter rider was stopped by police on a busy city road.

The 20-year-old male was reported, and his e-scooter was seized. He was stopped on Montrose Terrace in Abbeyhill on Saturday, October 4.

E-scooters are not permitted on public roads, pavements or other public spaces.

Road Policing Scotland posted to X: "Officers from the National Motorcycle Unit stopped the rider of this E-Scooter on Easter Road in Edinburgh earlier today.

"E-scooters are not permitted on public roads, pavements or other public spaces. A 20yr old male has been reported to Crown Office the scooter was seized."
