ORANGEBURG, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- South Carolina State University is on lockdown after reports of shots being fired near Hugine Suites.

Details are limited at this time.

Campus police are investigating the incident.

Hugine Suites residents who are not in the complex are asked to report to Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center (SHM). Anyone in Hugine, stay put. Other students are asked to return to their rooms.
