NEWARK TOWNSHIP, Wis. (WKOW) — A residential fire broke out on Sunday, at approximately 9:30 a.m. in Newark Township.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Office and fire personnel responded to the scene on West County Trunk Highway K. Upon arrival, emergency personnel found the building fully engulfed in flames.
The residence was not occupied and had not been prior to the fire.
Multiple fire agencies, including the Town of Beloit Fire Department, worked together to extinguish the blaze. Thankfully, no families were displaced as the residence was deemed a total loss.
Authorities do not currently suspect foul play. The Rock County Sheriff’s Office and the Town of Beloit Fire Department continue to investigate the cause of the fire.
