CINCINATTI, Ohio -- Taylor Decker is officially inactive for the Detroit Lions in Week 5.

Decker was downgraded to doubtful due to his shoulder injury on Sunday morning. The team’s longest-tenured player had continued to play through his shoulder issue this season.

He had continued playing despite practicing only once since the season opener. Decker underwent surgery over the offseason after initially trying to rehab through the issue. But it’s continued to pop up since the season started, and now the Lions are left without their franchise left tackle with a matchup against star pass rusher Trey Hendrickson.

With Decker inactive, look for Giovanni Manu to get his first career start at left tackle. Manu has gotten a ton of first-team practice reps due to Decker’s rest and then play sched
