NEW YORK (PIX11) — The biggest and brightest moon of the year will be in the sky on Monday, according to the Farmer's Almanac.
The Harvest Supermoon, the full moon closest to the autumnal equinox, is the first of three Supermoons of 2025. If it were to have occurred in September, it would've been referred to as the Corn Moon.
The moon is not only multiple nights of beautiful moons, but it is also a perigee, which means the moon is closer to Earth than it will be all year. It makes for the biggest and brightest moon you'll see.
It will peak at 11:47 p.m. Eastern Time on Monday night, according to the Farmer's Almanac. However, it will be visible on Sunday and Tuesday as well.
Will New Yorkers be able to see it clearly?
