A massive overhaul could see up to 6,000 Post Offices closing for good. Under the proposed changes, 6,000 of the nation's 11,500 Post Offices may be compelled to permanently shut their doors.
The branches most at risk are those operating part-time, only a few days a week, as well as those sharing facilities with other establishments. These branches have been labelled "unsustainable" in a new government document.
