LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Retired Marine fighter pilot Amy McGrath is running for U.S. Senate. McGrath ran against Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., in 2020 and now is running for the seat he leaves open with his retirement.
She joins a growing pool of candidates. Democrats include State Rep. Pamela Stevenson, D-Louisville, Nate Forsythe, a Lexington attorney and former U.S. Secret Service agent and ex-CIA officer and military veteran Joel Willett. Rep. Andy Barr, former Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron, and Lexington businessman Nate Morris are running in the Republican primary.
