BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Good morning and happy Monday! It is a warm and muggy Monday morning. Temperatures are starting out in the lower 70s across central Alabama. Our average low is 58°F, so we are nearly 10-12 degrees above average for early October. We are dealing with cloud cover and spotty light showers that are moving to the north. You may encounter some wet roads this morning, so make sure you slow down as road conditions could be slick in a few spots. All of the light rain is thanks to an area of low pressure that is moving northwards through Louisiana this morning. With east-southeast flow continuing this afternoon, we will likely have a chance to see additional light rain develop in spots this afternoon. We will likely remain mostly cloudy today with highs in the lower 80s
