BRIDGETON — Police are investigating after an individual allegedly kicked a man to the ground and stole his wallet early Sunday.
Officers were in the area of South Laurel Street when they observed one person chasing another at 12:58 a.m., police said. Contact was made with one subject, who advised they were the victim of a robbery.
Investigators determined the alleged suspect assaulted the victim and took his wallet before fleeing the scene, police said Monday in a news release.
The suspect is described as being 5 feet, 8 inches tall with a thin build.
As of Monday morning, no arrests had been made and the investigation was ongoing.
