CHARLESTON — The Hilton Garden Inn along the Ashley River received a lot more than just a fresh coat of paint during a recent hotel-wide renovation.

Beau Benton, president of the Charleston hotel’s management group LBA Hospitality, said at a ribbon-cutting event Sept. 25 that “this isn't your grandmother's Hilton Garden Inn.”

“This hotel, with its gorgeous lobby and rooftop, there's a lot of things going on here that you don't normally see in a Hilton Garden Inn,” Benton said.

The 141-room hotel at 45 Lockwood Dr. underwent a five-month remodel. The price tag of the renovation was not disclosed.
