CLEVELAND — Cleveland police located another suspect as part of an ongoing operation targeting stolen vehicles and car break-ins.

According to a press release, officers responded to reports of two stolen vehicles traveling through the Second District on Oct. 5 at around 11:30 p.m. While patrolling the area, a detective heard a gunshot followed by a crash near West 30th Street and Monroe Avenue.

Officers discovered a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound. Police rendered first aid until EMS arrived and the man was transported to a hospital.

A preliminary investigation indicates he was shot while inside one of the stolen vehicles. The suspect responsible for the shooting has not been identified. The injured man has been named a suspect in receiving stolen property and charges are pending
