While the New England Patriots picked up one of their biggest wins in recent memory in Week 5’s “Sunday Night Football” against the Buffalo Bills, they also lost running back Antonio Gibson to a scary-looking knee injury.

Gibson was quickly ruled out after suffering his injury while returning a kickoff in the second quarter of the 23-20 victory .

Head coach Mike Vrabel commented on Gibson’s situation on Monday morning but wasn’t able to provide much of an update yet.

“Mike Vrabel, to ‘The Greg Hill Show’ on status of RB Antonio Gibson (knee): ‘Nothing new to add. He’ll go through some tests this morning and we’ll have to see what comes from those,'” ESPN’s Mike Reiss shared on Bluesky. “Didn’t look good Sunday, with Gibson ruled out quickly.”
