The historic Lake Michigan auto and passenger ferry S.S. Badger, the last steamship operating on the Great Lakes, is set to end its season on Oct. 12, but there is still time to make a crossing this year.

"Only ONE WEEK left of our sailing season!," the ferry company said in as Facebook post this week. "But we’re still going strong with two thumbs up, serving you with a smile. Hop aboard for one last adventure!"

The Badger, a passenger and vehicle ferry was was designated as a National Historic Landmark in 2016.

Earlier this week, the ferry canceled its Sunday crossing from Ludington to Manitowoc, Wisconsin, because of predicted bad weather, but the ship expects to sail the rest of the week to close out the year.
