A skydiving instructor is presumed to have fallen to his death in Tennessee.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the 35-year-old instructor was found dead in the clearing of a wooded area off Ashland City Highway on Oct. 4. He is believed to have fallen from the sky without a parachute.

Another skydiver was found suspended in a tree with an open parachute in the 4500 block of Ashland City Highway. The skydiver is believed to have separated at the plane from a tandem rig with the instructor.

The skydiver was recued from the tree by the Nashville Fire Department, which used a ladder using a pulley system. The skydiver was described as awake, alert and in stable condition and was taken to the hospital as a precaution after spending hours in the tree.
