LOWER TOWNSHIP — A Vineland man was arrested after he allegedly committed several lewd acts on Higbee Beach in August, police said.

Leonardo L. Medero, 44, was charged with multiple counts of lewdness. He's being held in the Cape May County jail pending court.

Police first received a report of a female who said she had an interaction with Medero that made her feel uncomfortable. During this incident, Medero allegedly left the area, returned naked and engaged in a lewd act, police said Monday in a news release.

A second incident was reported a few days later when two victims claimed Medero performed a lewd act on the beach, police said. The description given in both incidents was similar.
