HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) - Officials have announced that Evansville City Council Member Missy Mosby will be take over as head of the Evansville Animal Control.

The announcement was made in a release on Monday afternoon. Mosby will assume the role of the city's Director of Evansville Animal Care & Control on October 27.

Mosby announced she will resign her seat as the city's 2nd ward councilor, where she served for 18 years. During her time as councilor, Mosby worked with Fiches Neighborhood Association to connect homes with the city sewer system and hosted quarterly meetings with the 2nd ward neighborhoods to discuss concerns and resolve issues.
