ESSEX JUNCTION, Vt. (WCAX) - Top honors for some integral members of the WCAX team.

The Vermont Association of Broadcasters revealed its Hall of Fame inductees , and our Joe Carroll is part of the 2025 class.

Joe, a Rutland native, started as a videotape editor at WCAX in 1985 and is now the chief photographer. He’s well-known as the photojournalist behind the Emmy award-winning series Super Seniors.

Executive News Producer Sam Shinn received a Rising Star award. She helps oversee newsroom operations and helped lead the station’s Murrow-award-winning coverage of the 2024 eclipse.

And for excellence behind the scenes, Business Manager Peg Doolin was honored with the Snyder-Teffner Award. Peg started at WCAX more than 43 years ago, helping to keep the leaders of the past and present in
