The Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office said Monday it was unable to determine the cause and manner of death for a 57-year-old Vancouver man who was pulled from Lake River in Ridgefield .

Richard Alan Price was pronounced dead after being recovered by Clark-Cowlitz Fire Rescue on July 4.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office said that a 911 caller reported seeing what appeared to be a person floating face-down about 2:45 p.m. in Lake River, just north of the Ridgefield Marina.

The sheriff’s office said there were no signs of foul play or trauma observed at the scene.

An apparently abandoned sailboat was found anchored in Lake River a few hundred yards north of the body, the sheriff’s office said. Investigators believed items were associated with Price.
