IBERVILLE PARISH, La. (WAFB) - DOTD has responded to a letter from Iberville Parish Sheriff Brett Stassi about a dangerous intersection.

Sheriff Stassi sent the letter to DOTD Secretary Glenn Ledet about the intersection at Highway 77 and Enterprise Boulevard in Plaquemine. The sheriff asked DOTD for a study of the area, saying an increase in traffic has also led to a jump in crashes.

According to Ledet, his agency is now compiling crash records and crash reports. He said work is also underway to evaluate the intersection for speed, line of sight, and other safety factors.
