MADISON (WKOW) — Public Health Madison & Dane County is actively searching for a dog involved in a biting incident on Oct. 1.

The incident occurred around 8 p.m. near McKee Road, between Fitchrona Road and Maple Grove Drive, according to a press release.

The dog is described as a thin, medium-sized mixed breed with black and white coloring, a short coat, and floppy ears. The victim noted that the dog's ribs and spine were visible.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Police and Fire Dispatcher at (608) 255-2345 and ask for an Animal Services Officer. If the dog is not located, the victim could face costly rabies shots.
