MUNSTER — Patients of a former Powers Health cardiologist protested the doctor's separation from the hospital Monday morning, alleging the hospital's administration should not have terminated him from his position last month.

Clad in t-shirts and bracelets that read, "Stewart Strong," supporters of Dr. David Stewart set up across the street from Munster Community Hospital, where many of them received treatment from the cardiologist throughout his years employed there. Approximately 100 people arrived to support Stewart during the three hour protest. They chanted and clamored for an explanation on what happened while they held up signs of encouragement. Passing cars honked in support.
