NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - Shoppers in North Augusta may soon have new reasons to stay local.

Plans are in the works for several major retailers, including Ulta, Burlington and Five Below, to open at Edgewood Square, the same shopping center as Hobby Lobby.

For many, the news means more options close to home.

“I like to shop. Now, I’m not sure I spend a lot of money, but I do like to shop,” said North Augusta resident Sybil Farmer.

Others say the convenience is what excites them most.
