ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Rapper Young Thug will take the stage at State Farm Arena for a benefit concert in December.
The Atlanta native, whose real name is Jeffrey Williams, will play the arena on Dec. 16 for his “Hometown Hero” benefit concert.
The concert will reportedly help the rapper fulfill part of the plea deal he agreed to at the end of his trial; the plea deal allows him to play benefit concerts in the Atlanta area.
He had been at the center of the longest trial in state history. Fulton County prosecutors had tried to link him to an alleged violent street gang known as Young Slime Life (YSL), responsible for numerous offenses. Defense attorneys argued YSL is not a gang but simply the name of a record label.
Thug’s fourth album, “Uy Scuti,” was released last month
