LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — A police report detailed the arrest of Oh’Ryan Brooks, 27, the man accused of driving while impaired, hitting and killing Cristofer Suarez, 12, while he was walking to school.

The crash happened just after 7:30 a.m. on Friday near the intersection of Eastern and Owens avenues, according to the report.

Surveillance cameras at Rancho High School captured the crash, the report said. A white SUV hit the boy, later identified as Suarez, before leaving the scene. Suarez was thrown into a wrought iron fence, and the collision occurred within a crosswalk that had yellow flashing lights activated.
