WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — After years of delays and community effort, Warner Robins is preparing to open its first full-service homeless shelter, a project city leaders say is about more than just providing a place to sleep.

Haven Hope House , located on 79 Greene St. in Warner Robins, will officially open its doors after a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for Friday, Oct. 17 at 10 a.m.

The facility will accommodate up to 70 people and offer access to caseworkers who will assist residents with a range of services, including job applications and long-term housing support.

Brian Wise, the shelter’s supervisor, said the facility was designed to help people get back on their feet.

“It’s just amazing to see what would come, and we’re about ready to open it up,” Wise said.
