After a traffic stop turned into a possible immigration arrest outside a D.C. elementary school, council Chairman Phil Mendelson told reporters Monday he asked the Office of Police Complaints to investigate the incident and reached out to the chief about his concerns.

In video footage of the incident, one D.C. police officer at the scene can be heard telling bystanders to not call 911 next time if they have a problem with what they are doing.
