Two young people were murdered in broad daylight in Greenbelt over the weekend. The murders are not connected but were targeted attacks, according to Greenbelt police.

The victims were 14 and 25 years old. The 14-year-old was shot and killed on Sunday before 2 p.m. at the Breezewood Court and Cherrywood Terrace intersection outside the Franklin Park apartments.

The vehicle of interest is a silver Infiniti without front license plates.

Police reported that the shooting occurred as a car pulled up near a group of people standing outside, and someone opened fire.
