BOISE, Idaho — The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) is proposing increased impact fees and splitting its service area into two sections.
If adopted, ACHD will divide its service area into east and west, with Cole Road serving as the dividing line. The split would separate the most established part of the county from the area with the most growth potential.
“The east service area is a more established community, so a lot of the growth-related projects have already been completed,” ACHD Impact Fee Administrator Megan Anderson said.
Impact fees are a one-time charge for new infrastructure, including houses and businesses. The impact fee for single-family homes is currently $3,493, according to ACHD.
Impact fees could increase 150% to $8,929 for the proposed west service area, according
