An inner-city Melbourne billboard has been vandalised with pro-Hamas messaging on the second anniversary of the October 7 terrorist attack.

Police are investigating after the words "Glory to Hamas" were spraypainted onto a billboard overlooking the busy intersection of Alexandra Parade and Brunswick Street in Fitzroy.
