CLEVELAND, Ohio — An Akron man has died after authorities said he was fatally stabbed early Sunday morning.

At 3:45 a.m., Akron police were dispatched to the 300 block of Patterson Avenue because a caller had reported people fighting. When police and EMS arrived, they found that Kunal Yonghang, 37, had been stabbed in the neck, police said in a statement.

Before he died, Yonghang identified Buddhi Tamang, 34, as the person who had stabbed him. Other witnesses also told police that Tamang stabbed Yonghang, said Akron police spokesman Lt. Michael Murphy.

Officers believe Tamang and Yonghang had been arguing earlier in the night. After the initial confrontation, Tamang left and later returned. He jumped out of his vehicle and stabbed Yonghang, Murphy said.
