Public asked to avoid Fourth Ave. and Legion Street

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Police are currently investigating a call of shots fired in the area of Fourth Ave. and Legion Street.

Lake Charles Police Department officers are asking the public to avoid the area while police canvas the area for any suspects.

“Officers are conducting a thorough investigation,” said LCPD PIO Sgt. John Russell. “At this time, there are no indications that anyone has been struck or injured. The public is asked to avoid the area while law enforcement personnel continue their work.”
