SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. (WSMV) - More remains were found in Springfield after a human skull and leg were found over the weekend, according to Smokey Barn News.

On Oct. 4 and Oct. 5, the Springfield Police Department was contacted concerning the discovery of possible human remains in the creek near the Greenway by Sulphur Fork Creek.

On Monday, the city said more remains were found. Crews conducted an underwater search with a dive unit K9 cadaver units.

The Springfield Police Department said in a statement to Smokey Barn News that bone remains were received in the water near the greenway.

So far, officials have not identified any remains found.
