EUGENE, Ore. – Eighteen Oregon craft beverage makers are participating in this year's “Cheers to the Land”, the most participation this event has seen since starting in 2021. This yearly project created by the Oregon Agricultural Trust (OAT) helps protect farm and ranch lands across the state.
“Oregon farmers and ranchers depend upon having land to grow their products on and it's becoming more expensive and increasingly developed as the years go on,” Nellie McAdams, OAT executive director said. “So what Oregon agricultural trust does is permanently protect that land from development and help beginning farmers and ranchers access that land and we can't do that work without the support of our community.”
