LORANE, Ore. - New developments have emerged in the tragic case of a Lorane woman's murder earlier this year. Her son has filed a significant legal action against the accused killer, seeking justice for his mother's death.
Austin Allen Bonini, representing the estate of Patricia McSperitt, has filed a $999,000 tort claim against Ralph McSperitt in Lane County Circuit Court. Bonini alleges that on July 16, Ralph, known as Bill, violently assaulted Patricia, causing severe injuries to her head and face. The lawsuit claims that after the assault, Bill armed himself with a loaded handgun. He then allegedly entered the bathroom, where Patricia was tending to her injuries, and shot her in the head.
